Self-made riches
Rihanna has become the youngest self-made billionaire woman in the US, knocking Kim Kardashian to second place. 2022 marks the third year in which Rhianna has made Forbes’ annual list of America’s richest self-made women – she’s the only billionaire under 40 on the list.
“I never thought I’d make this much money, so a number is not going to stop me from working," Rihanna told the New York Times in 2019.
“The money means that I can take care of my family," she continued. “The money means that I can facilitate the businesses that I want to. I can create jobs for other people.”
#Periodsomnia
BodyForm has released a new campaign highlighting the issues of insomnia during periods through the #Periodsomnia campaign. The campaign includes an advert directed by Kim Gehrig, showing individuals suffering from discomfort induced by menstruation.
Tanja Grubner, femcare global marketing and communications director at Essity, which owns Bodyform, says: "The reality shown through #Periodsomnia is that it can be more chaotic for some women+. It's time to stop treating women+ like broken pipes which leak.
“They just have periods," Grubner said. "By revealing these universal truths, we tackle the invisibility around the realities of nights spent menstruating to reassure women+ that what they go through is completely normal and that they're not alone in their experiences."
