Met Gala 2022: The best ‘gilded glamour’ gowns
The Met Gala, sometimes referred to as the Super Bowl for fashion, returned last night (May 2) welcoming 600 exclusive celebrities to take to the red carpet, and wow fellow guests with their finest gowns.
And they did not disappoint. The A-list attendees contacted their favourite designers to adhere to the Gilded Glamour, White Tie dress code, which they were encouraged to approach from a 19th-century angel, with a modern twist.
Held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in celebration of the museum’s new exhibition, In America: An Anthology of Fashion, the venue also showcased some of the best work from legendary designers, including Lloyd Kiva New, Bill Blass, Brooks Brothers and more.
The 2022 Met Gala boasted exceptional outfits in an iconic venue – here are just some of our favourites.
